Guildford charity, halow creates opportunities and supports young people, enabling them to live independent, fulfilled, meaningful lives in the local community.

Surrey Wildlife Trust (SWT) is not only one of the UK’s leading conservation charities – it is also dedicated to teaching future generations about wildlife and the importance of looking after the environment. Surrey Wildlife Trust cares for over 9,000 hectares of the county’s countryside, including Guildford and the surrounding areas.
Situated in Dunsfold near Guildford, Jigsaw School was founded in 1999 by a group of parents with children with autism spectrum disorders, which provides essential resources for children aged 5 – 19 with communication disorders. Since its inception, Jigsaw School has become one of the finest children’s charities in the Surrey and is still the only school of its kind in the county.
Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice is the only adult hospice serving Guildford and South West Surrey. Support one of the finest charities providing care to seriously ill adults and their families.
Guildford Action is a registered charity that has been working within the communities of Guildford and Waverley for 30 Years. It was originally set up to support those who were unemployed in Guildford but over time has evolved its services to include support for all those who are disadvantaged and in need within areas of Guildford and Waverley. The projects that Guildford Action run are as follows; The Guildford Action Drop-in Centre which acts as a safe place (access to Doctor/Nurse, Laundry, Showers, subsidised food) for those who are or have been homeless and those who are disadvantaged or in need. The Guildford Action for Families (The GAF) runs community drop-in sessions within the families own areas, which gives parents/ carers practical advice and support with a multitude of problems that they might face in the bringing up of children.
Surrey Community Action is a countywide charity offering advice, support and information to both voluntary and community groups. If we don’t know the answer to your question, we know someone who does.
Headway, in Surrey, supports people with brain injuries their families and carers and promotes understanding of the implications of brain injury through-out Surrey.
Surrey Young Carers has been supporting young carers across Surrey since 1996. We are one of three voluntary services managed by Action for Carers (Surrey). We can offer free impartial information and support to young carers. We aim to promote the needs of young carers in all child care and adult settings. SYC receives funding from Adult & Community Care services, the Carers Grant and the Children’s Fund.
